Presentation Sisters and Mercy Sisters in PNG attend Leadership Workshop

Author: admin2

Srs Regina Gevia, Mary Tubor, Regina Sabau and Bernadine Telamai were invited to join the Sisters of Mercy in a four day intensive training programme in Goroka sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy.

The Presenter of the Clinical Pastoral Education Programme (CPE), Ken Shakespeare, and his family formerly lived and worked in PNG for 18 years. Ken was able to draw on his knowledge and understanding of the culture and language of the people in working with the Sisters. Ken is a well known and respected CPE trainer in Australia.

Apart from the value of participating in the programme itself, there was a great benefit for the two congregations to work together and share the stories of their lives and ministries. The Sisters have so much in common but geographically live and work in different areas of Papua New Guinea.
