Lismore Presentation Sisters Down South

Author: Admin

Two of the Lismore Presentation Sisters are in ministry at the Heart of Life Spirituality Centre in Box Hill, Melbourne. Sue Richardson began as one of the original staff in 1983, later became Director in 1992 and has since clocked up 16 years in that position with a break in the middle when another Presentation Sister, Cheryl Bourke, was appointed Director. Leonie Wallace, also from Lismore, has now begun her third year as Secretary.

Beginning in 1983 Heart of Life celebrates its Pearl Anniversary this year. An initiative of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart it is based on a Heart Spirituality, something dear to the heart of Nano, as we know. Its primary mission is the formation of competent spiritual directors. As well it offers a variety of other Ministry Formation Programs, Seminars, and Workshops throughout the year. Spiritual Direction and individual and group supervision is also available. We meet participants from many countries from around the world and there is a wonderful spirit enjoyed by all who are associated with Heart of Life. Meanwhile, whenever possible, Sue and Leonie head home to Lismore to reconnect with their congregation and enjoy being back in familiar territory.
